Mississippi is in great need of blood donations in order to maintain an adequate supply while Coronavirus cases continue to increase. According to Mississippi Blood Services, there are varying levels of shortages for the different blood types. Currently, there is a “severe” shortage for B+, B-, O+, O-, and Platelets; in addition, there is a “critical” shortage for A-.
